Key facts
- Official table vs intro: weight is 'about 39 kg' in the parameter table and 38 kg in the intro (the table's 39 kg is entered); running speed is 10.8 km/h (3.0 m/s) in the table and 'maximum stable running speed 3.5 m/s' (12.6 km/h) in the intro (the table's more conservative 10.8 km/h is entered); walking speed 2.7 km/h. Launch press (Yicai, 2025-04-14) gave 38 kg and 3.5 m/s.
- Peak joint torque 144 N·m is from the official parameter table; per-joint upper limits there range from 30 to 90 N·m. A press report (163.com) quotes 96 N·m peak; the official table value is used.
- DOF split: 5 per arm, 6 per leg, 1 waist, head 0 (expandable) = 23. Arm span 1240 mm; body dimensions 1245 x 441 x 202 mm; aluminium alloy and engineering plastic.
- Battery: lithium-ion 475 Wh, 39.6 V nominal, 3.2 kg or less, about 3.5 h charge. Press says the battery plugs in at the back; the official page does not say it is hot-swappable, so battery_swappable is left empty.
- Open-source scope (Yicai, April 2025): bill of materials, structural drawings, assembly guide, core control system and base software code, with whole-body control and multi-task modules to follow. An SDK guide and a documentation repo (github.com/FFTAI/fourier-grx-N1, MIT) exist; the licence of the hardware files is not stated on the page, open_source is set from Fourier's own 'open-source' announcement.
- ROS support is not stated on the official page (ros_support false means 'not stated').
- Status 'development': no sale, price list or shipping date was found for the N1 as a product; it was released as an open-source platform.
