Overview
Compact 6-DoF ultra-lightweight robot arm from Kinova (Canada), the smaller and cheaper sibling of the Gen3: 5.4 kg, 760 mm reach, 500 g payload, 24 V supply and only 20 W average power. It uses smart actuators with a 1 kHz closed-loop controller and the Kinova Kortex API (C++, Python, MATLAB, ROS Noetic and ROS 2 Humble), and is pitched at education, research and light professional handling. The photo on Kinova's one-pager shows it with a two-finger gripper.
