Overview
REACHY is BALYO's robotic reach truck for high-bay pallet storage, built on an industrial-standard reach forklift. It carries 1,400-1,600 kg, lifts up to 11 m and travels up to 2 m/s. It navigates without infrastructure using a 3D LiDAR with SLAM, picks and drops pallets using 3D cameras under the forks, and can still be driven manually.

Sensors
- 3D LiDAR (64 planes of data) for SLAM navigation and obstacle detection
- PL-D safety sensors with 360-degree smart safety system (anti-push and drag)
- 3D cameras under the forks for pallet perception
Locomotion
wheeled reach truck, infrastructure-free SLAM navigation
Manipulation
Arms: 0 DOF Β· Hands: Pallet forks on reach mast, lift up to 11 m; mast closed height 2,350-4,950 mm
Use cases
high-bay pallet storage, narrow-aisle put-away and retrieval, push-back, shuttle, gravity and mobile racking, conveyor and barcode-scan handover
Key facts
- BALYO page (fetched 2026-10-17): capacity '1400-1600 kgs / 3000-3500 lbs', lift up to 11 m, travel up to 2 m/s, aisle width from 2.9 m. payload_kg is the upper figure (1,600 kg); the page does not say which mast or configuration gives which value.
- Aisle width: the page header says 'from 2.9m / 10' 6"' while body text says '2.9m / 9' 9"'; the metric figure is consistent, the imperial one is not.
- Battery options: lead acid, TPPL or NMC, with auto-charge by docking station; capacity and runtime not published, so null.
- Weight, overall dimensions, launch year, certifications and price are not on the page, so null. Height depends on mast (closed height 2,350-4,950 mm), so height_cm is null.
- Handles over 100 pallet types per BALYO; works with standard, push-back, shuttle, gravity and mobile racking, conveyors and barcode scanning. Dual mode (manual or automatic).
- Navigation: infrastructure-free, 3D LiDAR on top of the robot with a SLAM algorithm; no reflectors, magnets or QR codes needed (BALYO product page).
