Overview
Heavy-payload 6-axis collaborative robot arm from Universal Robots: 30 kg payload (35 kg with boundary conditions) on a 1300 mm reach, in the same compact arm as the UR20 (footprint 245 mm, 63.5 kg). IP65 and ISO Class 4 cleanroom rated, with a force-torque sensor at the tool flange and UR says about 25% more joint torque than the UR3e, which suits high-torque screwdriving. UR positions it for machine tending with several grippers, palletizing and material handling. It is the second model of UR's next-generation series, after the UR20.

Key facts
- Payload 30 kg, or 35 kg 'with boundary conditions' (datasheet, September 2026 edition). Reach 1300 mm, shorter than the UR20's 1750 mm; weight 63.5 kg without cable, footprint Ø245 mm.
- Repeatability: the datasheet states ±0.1 mm (ISO 9283) while UR's product page says ±0.01 mm; the Unchained listing also says 0.1 mm. The manufacturer datasheet figure is the more specific source; UR's page figure is noted here as a conflict, not used.
- Max TCP speed 4 m/s; joint speeds 120°/s (base, shoulder), 150°/s (elbow), 210°/s (wrists); all six joints ±360°.
- Tool flange: the datasheet says EN ISO 9409-1-80-6-M8 while the product page says ISO 9409-1-50-4-M6; the datasheet value is used in the manipulation field.
- Max power 750 W; noise < 67 dB(A); arm cable 6 m; 23 configurable safety functions; fieldbus Modbus TCP, EtherNet/IP, PROFINET/PROFIsafe; control box 460 x 449 x 254 mm, 12 kg, IP44; teach pendant IP54.
- Announced 29 Nov 2023 at iREX in Tokyo with pre-orders open and shipping planned for Q1 2024 (UR press release, fetched 2026-10-17). It is the second product of UR's next-generation series after the UR20, built on the same architecture; the UR20 page treats the series as siblings, so no predecessor link is set.
- UR's own figures: joint torque up to about 25% higher and joint speed up to 65% higher than the UR3e.
- Unchained's own page contradicts itself on payload (35 kg in its spec table, 30 kg in its overview); UR's datasheet figure (30 kg, 35 kg with boundary conditions) is used.
