Overview
Compact four-wheel-drive differential-steering research and education mobile base from AgileX Robotics. Four independent hub motors with rocker-arm suspension, 0 mm turning radius, 30 degree slope climbing and aluminium T-slot rails for mounting sensors or a manipulator. It ships without any obstacle-avoidance sensor: lidar, GPS, IMU or an arm are added by the user. CAN-bus control with an open-source SDK and ROS package, so it is a common ROS development base.

Key facts
- Figures below come from AgileX's own Scout Mini user manual V2.0.1 (linked from the official product page) unless stated: 612 x 580 x 245 mm, 23 kg kerb weight, 4 x 250 W brushless hub motors, 24 V 15 Ah lithium battery, IP22, ground clearance 115 mm, 30 degree maximum slope, working temperature -10 to 40 C, 2 h charge, CAN interface, 2.4 GHz remote controller (100 m).
- Official sources disagree with each other: the manual gives max speed 3 m/s, 8 h maximum endurance and 10 km maximum travel; the current product page headlines 10 km/h, '3 HRS runtime' and '1.5 M/S speed'. specs use the manual's 3 m/s (10.8 km/h) and the product page's 3 h runtime (typical, versus the manual's 8 h maximum). Treat speed and runtime as approximate.
- Resellers disagree on weight and motors: Trossen Robotics' docs list 26 kg and four 150 W motors, RobotLAB 23-26 kg. The 23 kg and 250 W figures are the manufacturer's manual; the 150 W figure appears in the manual only for the Mecanum-wheel option.
- Payload is 10 kg with standard wheels (manual and product page). A Mecanum-wheel kit is sold separately; Trossen lists it at 20 kg payload and 1.3 m/s, RobotLAB at 20 kg. It is not recorded as a variant because no AgileX page fetched states its specs or price.
- Battery capacity of 360 Wh is calculated from the published 24 V x 15 Ah; AgileX does not state watt-hours. The manual does not say whether the pack is user-swappable.
- Launch year is left empty: the manual is dated 2023 but no fetched page states when the Scout Mini first went on sale. Related AgileX product: Scout 2.0 (a separate model, not documented here).
- The old URL agilex.ai/product/3 returns 404; the working official page is global.agilex.ai/products/scout-mini (fetched 2026-10-17).
- Notes: the Generation Robots source URL has the slug '402397-robot-mobile-pioneer-3-at.html' but the page is the Scout Mini (SKU A-000000-04600, EUR 6,112.60 excl. VAT / EUR 7,335.12 incl. VAT). The manual gives operating temperature as -10 to 40 C in the spec table but -10 to 45 C in its cautions; the spec table value (40) is used.
